Don't get jealous; it's not that great considering how much they cost. But man, the performance improvement with MOOX's M3 firefox and thunderbird builds is sure noticeable. Even at home, there's a marked improvement with the M2 build on my Athlon XP. I might try the M1 on my sister's crappy old machine (I think it's a K6-2... it's currently being used for bittorrent downloads, mostly). omg, this is stupidly awesome"Japanese animation, Hello Kitty, samurais, ninjas, and Sushi are really popular right now! Here's a wild recipe that's super easy to make and super fun to eat as a light and fruity snack!" I have to try this. dorky, yes, but...I wonder how hard it would be to get the address officially chaned to 221B Baker Street... e23e23, Steve Jackson's online publishing outfit, went live yesterday. I went in right away to download Caravan to Ein Arris. (I was kind of hoping they'd have a 4th ed version of the old Dai Blackthorne solo adventure, but alas no). I have to go with Cory here... e23 is brilliantly laid out. I'll definitely be buying stuff from them as things I'm interested in start coming out... step 1: punch bearSee... This is why I love Gizmodo. It's not so much for the cool gadget news (although I have no problem with that). It's for the commentary: The great thing about being crazy is that nobody tells you not to do something crazy. It's just sort of assumed. schnapp! schnapp!
OMG, this is the best thing ever! I present to you Schnappi, das kliene Krokodil. He's a crocodile. From the Nile. And he goes "Schnap schnap schnap." (Click on the links beside the track names). The second track is the best, but you need to hear the first one first. Trust me. You have to hear this. livewire systemsFound a Canadian distributor for the µA1 boards. Hm... amiga os 4 reviewImagine my surprise when I noticed Ars has a review of the new AmigaOne hardware and Amiga OS 4. Gods help me, I want one. It starts out with an informed, lucid history of the platform for the uninitiated as well. That bit alone's worth the read. david suzuki at uwThe sainted David Suzuki will be at UW on the 26th. Part of the "One Tonne Challenge" apparently. I think I'll go. I like David Suzuki. As Larry Smith will happily point out, his grasp of economics is a bit weak, but I think he's going from more or less the right place. According to their calculator thingy, I let off about 4.4 tonnes of CO2 a year. Yeah, I should probably keep a closer eye on tire pressure, but I like driving 10-20k over the limit. *sigh*. sexayBill Gates in Teen Beat (c. 1983). Wow. Even I'm getting hot. | |
