mostly nothing

I'm actually pretty content right now, which means I'm not feeling compelled to write. I figure I should probably take advantage of the moment and write anyway just to point out that I'm not always depressed and miserable, however much these pages might suggest otherwise.

Now that it's finally becoming autumn, I'm getting some energy and motivation back. Summer's hard. I don't feel like doing much of anything. Winter, being winter, just restricts the sorts of things I can do. Unfortunately, spring and autumn are all too short. I'm thinking of doing some work on my various sites.

For this one, I think I need something off to the side where I can post some of the stupid crap I find online. And also short snippets of entries just for the heck of it. I like the model I chose for the journal originally--having one entry in the front that I think is actually worth reading. Something with a little substance, rather than a throw-away blog entry. I can't say I've been wholly successful, but that's what's supposed to be here.

Then again, I occasionally want to do throw-away blog entries. So I'll see what I can do about that.

And here I was just thinking that you must have a big project due at work that has lead to an overabundance of writing lately. The change in weather/seasons has been great here and long overdue also.

Are you planning on visiting your family for Thanksgiving?

You know you're sleep deprived when you see the shadoes moving and feel the earth rotating.

Yup, I'm taking the train home on Friday; coming back Monday. This means I'm going to miss a barbeque outing on Friday, and I'm kind of sad about that. Hopefully there'll be another one some day.

You know you're *really* sleep deprived when you start seeing small, furry creatures happily romping on your desk. Or just staring at you. That's creepy.

I think I'm coming down with a cold...

Here's an idea: You could go to the barbeque on Friday and then *drive* to your parents afterwards. You know, that four wheeled monstrosity. Just an idea.

George assures me that he and his little friends are real and has no idea what you are talking about. He also says that they wouldn't stare if you'd feed them but be careful the little beggars will eat you out of house and home.

Almost forgot, hope you're not coming down with a cold and feel better.

Curious phrase, house and home.

Thanks. I'm a bit sniffly and wobbly, but otherwise okay. ^^

I considered driving... But I'd already bought the ticket when I found out when our outing was. I can get a refund, I guess. I've been stuck in traffic often enough on Thanksgiving weekend to know that that sort of thing is best avoided. Especially late at night and I'm feeling groggy.

Now if I was really thinking, I'd have gotten a ride into Toronto with other people and then hopped on the late train. Of course, that's sold out now. It was a good idea, anyway.. :/
