the last meetingWow. Today's been a mostly productive day. That's a bit surprising sense last week was a whole lot of nothing. My boss got back from his three week holiday and I'll be able to show something that partly works. Also, I think there are only one or two big unknowns left in this little project. So I'm feeling better about things. I had a bit of a slow weekend. I finished up Beyond Good and Evil, which I've had for a while, bug couldn't play because I needed a bigger memory card. (Damn you, Nintendo! Oh, come back. I can't stay mad at you). It's a good game. The game play isn't exactly original, but it's a well-executed and has a good story and minimizes the usual frustrations involved in story-based adventure games (meaning it's kind of easy, but I didn't mind). I also picked up some new headphones and a wrist rest for work, since the old ones were getting a bit worn out. And... I didn't do much of anything else. It was more of a "Ugh, I want to do something!" sort of nothing weekend than a nice relaxing one, though. Oh well. It's not like I actually asked anybody if they wanted to do anything, so I guess I've only myself to blame. Tonight's the term's last CTRL-A meeting. I kinda thought to myself at the beginning of term that I wouldn't go to so many meetings this term, but events transpired such that I've only missed a couple. The event for tonight is the vote to decide whether the club will show only recaps of well-worn "classic" series from terms past. You know, I'd kind of like to let the kids run the club however they want, but I'd also like to keep the club around as one of my more reliable excuses to get out of the house once in a while. If this thing goes through, it'll be a lot harder for me to convince people I like to go to shows, which in turn means it'll be much less likely I'll actually get to see said people more than a couple times a year. Self-serving, I know. I don't know if I'll fight it that hard, though. It might be a good thing for me to give up on CTRL-A. I might even get more proactive about finding other excuses to get out of the house. Who knows? comments:This post is archived. Comments are disabled.
