final four

Ah, Friday. Good ol' Friday.

My sister's team got into the final four in the hockey championships. It's being hosted by Laurier, which means it's in town (at the Rec Center). So my parents are coming up for the weekend and I'm taking them out to dinner. Sounds like a good plan.

This will likely be her last hockey tournament. Apparently she wasn't invited to play on the All-Stars team. Oh, I'm sure she'll play on a womens' league or something, but I don't think those are really competitive.

In other news, I found some useful sample code for the Speak Freely port. I'm not really working very hard on it. I'm going to have to start mucking with makefiles soon, and I hate that. I don't understand why they didn't separate out a sound library per-platform. That stuff doesn't port very well. It's all a mess of #ifs. Ick.

Update: They won! Woot!

Mindy scored the game-winning goal, too. They play Laurier tomorrow. Laurier managed to beat UofT somehow. The last time they played Laurier in that arena, they beat them 7-2. So it's rather promising. But they're guaranteed the silver. They've only been able to get the bronze the last two years.
