Mac Mini

Check it out. A Mac normal people can actually buy. It's only a little beefier than my iBook and you need to provide your own keyboard and mouse. Still, this would make a perfect Internet station for most people. I'm kind of tempted, but I already have too many computers as it is...

For those Canadians out there, this page is a little nicer... http://www.apple.com/ca/macmini/

Other than that, very cool!

I haven't gauged the specs agains a similarly priced PC (~$650), but hey... it's a Mac! :-)

Like Ars says, the deal isn't necessarily in the machine (which is decent enough but not really a bargain), but in the software:

Really, for non-game-playing relatives and students who you know would just be pissed off by Windows, this is a pretty decent package.

That being said, I would really like to try Mac products to see what all the hype is about. I want to try it for movie editing and some music stuff, but I just wonder if it's all it's cracked up to be...
That's a general Mac thing, not specific to the macmini ^_^
