Holiday recapI didn't really want to come into work this morning, but I suppose it's only a four-day week. That's not so bad. I've only got one thing left to do on the project I'm working on, but it's annoying and I'm not getting any help on it. So... I'll get to it this afternoon, I guess. I got to meet up with mdhickson yesterday. And Thomas too. Thomas is awesome, although I'm not sure either of us knows quite what to make of the other. I expect I'll be hearing news from that quarter in the next week or so. And I remind those involved that I do expect pictures. It's traditional. Speaking of babies, one of my coworkers just brought his in. I dropped by and said hello. Socially speaking, I'm not entirely sure what to do in these situations. I mean, the office ladies gether and coo, and the other fathers chat about shared experience. I just show up and say "yo," and then don't really have anything more to say. So I wander off again. I like babies. (Not having to deal with them for any length of time makes the liking easier). But I somehow don't get the impression these visits are for me, particularly. I just wonder if there's something more I should be doing. Then again, I wonder about that a lot. It doesn't need to be said, but Doctor Who == awesome. Still. And looks like it will remain so for a long, long time to come. You should watch. Seriously. I know I've said that before. It'll be on CBC again in August to make things easier. I'm not entirely sure what the plan is (or if there is one) for our usual Tuesday night get-together. From the talk last week, it looks like we might migrate from Doctor Who night to a general watching-stuff night. I'm kinda okay with this, since I'll be downloading the new series on the weekends, so I'll get my fix in there. comments:This post is archived. Comments are disabled.
