Perl and bullets

I'm using perl again for this work thing I'm doing. I haven't touched perl in years, and it became pretty obvious pretty fast that I'm more than a little rusty.

For a while, I've had a couple ideas for a while about how to make my actual journal (as opposed to my livejournal) alive and prosperous. See, I've got about five times the number of readers on LJ, and it's got nifty client software that's about a thousand times better than the crappy journal entry form on my site.

I like my journal, though. I've had it for about five years. Theoretically, it's supposed to be my testbed for messing around with web programming stuff. But I haven't done that in a while. So, since I need to (a) limber up my perl muscles and (b) make my journal useful again, I decided to put together a little script that pulls specially-tagged lj entries into my blog. Like this one. It's not done, but I'm reasonably happy with it so far.
