not really in the mood

I wanted to post an entry, but I don't really feel like it now. I'm back in Waterloo. My trip to Belleville was actually really good over all. I had a nice visit with Matt, bought new shoes, cleaned the car, visited my grandmother, salted away more money for a down payment, read my book... I feel pretty accomplished.

I wrote this on Saturday, but didn't post it:

I got back in from the wedding a little while ago. I don't want to keep ragging on Catholics, but Catholic weddings are horrible. They're dull and impersonal. The priest was a bit of a dork, too. He made sure to emphasize that marriage was about personal sacrifice, and not getting what you want. It's about doing what God wants. And that means you need to make babies. Yeah, he was being all political, because he really had no interest in the actual people involved. That's tacky enough as it is, but in my cousin's case, she nearly died last year and, due to complications, making babies might not be an option.

Ass.

Anyway, my uncle surprised me and delivered a really touching speech. He didn't even swear once. I was impressed.
