yay! I'm done!I finally got our new Delphi integration done at work today. Well, mostly done. That was a major pain in the behind. I'd jumped at the chance to do it, mostly because I'd hoped it would give me a chance to actually make something... a decided improvement over the last few months of crappy bug-fixing. I soon came to realize, however, that people (read management) weren't terribly interested in it. Worse, a lot of the old code I was counting on being reusable simply wasn't. That probably wouldn't bother me so much (I like rewriting things), except that I'd have done things differently if I'd known I was scrapping the whole thing in the beginning, and it screwed up my estimates of the effort involved. Oh well.. Live and learn. It's done now. I was going to go to see Conspirators of Pleasure at the UW Fine Arts Film Society on Tuesday. Turned out I was worn out from work stuff, and it was all cold and snowy outside. But I should probably get out more. I'll be heading back to Belleville for the weekend. The weather's looking better for the drive (even if it is incredibly cold). I don't know if I'll have a chance to give you a call, Matt. I'll be in Kingston most of Saturday (my sister's birthday's on Sunday). Besides that, I think the primary purpose for this trip is for me to do laundry. I will soon have clean clothes again.
