party and homecoming
I am currently in the process of cleaning up the house for my little Christmas party on Saturday. Tomorrow\'s the \" holiday party\" for work, so I probably won\'t have a lot of time then. (Um, just a sec... okay that\'s good. I do have something to wear. I wear a suit maybe twice a year, and I never know if I might have left that stuff back in Belleville or something. I can\'t find my overcoat, though...)
Anyway, the party should be fun, I\'m hoping. I\'ve got about eight or nine people confirmed as coming, but I figure a few more will likely show up. It\'s funny... since highschool, I was always afraid to throw a party, since there was always that chance that no-one would come. That thought just seems silly and insecure in retrospect.
I have a tree (although it\'s kind of lame, tree-wise, but I\'m still working on it). I\'ll have real hot chocolate and apple cider and a chocolate fountain and hors d\'ouvres and people can bring deserts. It should be neat.
Next Wednesday, I\'ll be heading back to Belleville. (Matt? Are you still alive?) I\'m driving my sister. She\'s driving here from London and leaving her jeep in my garage. This saves her a little gas, as 15-year-old jeeps are not exactly the most fuel-efficient beasts on the planet (as she was quick to discover)
I\'m looking forward to the time off, relaxing at home. Work has been wearing me down a bit lately.
