inspection

I started my electrical inspection course today. I don\'t think I made a great first impression. I gave myself a lot of time to get down to Conestoga\'s Doon campus, but when I got there, I had no idea where I was going, or where I could park. And after I parked and found the right building, I had no idea where the stairs were to go upstairs. And when I got up to the room, I was told I had to run down and get the textbook.

At $275, the textbook cost more than the course. *sigh*.

We had to go around introducing ourselves. It turns out I\'m the only one who\'s just there on a lark, and doesn\'t intend to go on to inspect houses. If they had a \"how not to electricute yourself when you mess around with your wiring\" course, I\'d have taken that, but this was the closest they came. I kinda stood out a bit. Guys there had been in construction for 20 years and got injured and had to look for something else.

I think it\'ll mostly be worthwhile, though. I\'m not sure if it\'ll be $500 worthwhile, but we\'ll see. In for a penny, in for a pound.

Tomorrow night I get free food in exchange for propane delivery.

Also, my tulips are blooming. I\'ve only got a couple, though. I\'m gonna have to plant bulbs in the fall...
