busy busy
Note: i wrote this yesterday, but couldn\'t post since my ISP was down for some annoying reason. You probably won\'t get a chance to read it for another week anyway. :P
I took tomorrow [that\'s today -ed.] off, but it looks like I\'ve done all my running around today.
Visited the lawyer and signed a bunch of crap. Found out I needed to get a certified cheque or bank draft (not a regular cheque, of course). That caused a minor bit of concern since my home branch is (still) in Belleville. Went up for the final inspection.
The house is awesome. The basement widow cleaned everything. They even pulled out a lot of the nails from the walls. Looks like I\'m getting a few extra desks and a bar fridge too.
The inspection was quick, so I decided to go to the bank and get that nonsense settled. It\'s a good thing I borrowed a bit of money from my parents, or I\'d be testing out my overdraught protection. Good thing I get paid tomorrow. The bank stuff was quick too, actually, so I even had a chance to get some lunch. Ran back to the lawyer and dropped off the cheque.
Now I\'m back at work. All I have to do tomorrow is pick up the keys. I suppose I\'ll use the time to pack.
I took care of gas, phone and cable last night. That all went swimmingly (so far). I\'m not thrilled about going with Union Gas, but I couldn\'t get ahold of anybody else. Whatever.
I just phoned up my ISP and I\'m being told that I won\'t have Internet access for a week after the phone\'s changed over. ;_; So my site will be down. I knew everything was going a little too smoothly... Maybe somebody has an open WiFi network in the neighbourhood. Otherwise, I\'ll likely be spending a lot more time at work...
