hockey finals update
They lost. Poor Mindy. :(
It basically comes down to the fact that Laurier played a better game. Mind you, neither team played particularly well. Queen's held them to 1-0 throughout most of the game, but Laurier managed to come back with an impressive hat trick in the last 15 minutes.
Mindy somehow managed to break a skate before the game. The team sent my parents around town trying to get that fixed (I wonder what they would've done if they weren't there). My dad spent the first period at the mall, with only three broken drill bits to show for the effort. That didn't do much for anybody's spirits and Mindy played the game of borrowed skates. She did manage to get the assist on their only goal, though. And silver is better than Queen's has done in a long time.
And that, as they say, is that. I guess this means no more hockey. Which, in turn, means significantly less stress for my parents.
Who am I kidding? They'll find something to stress over.
