need for achievement

I haven't been in the best of moods lately. Work hasn't been going my way, the weather this week hasn't exactly to my liking (much better now, though), more of the usual... I meant to finally go see Spirited Away at the Princess last night, but realized earlier in the week that nobody was going to be around to see it with and I couldn't muster the energy to go on my own.

I'm taking a couple vacation days next week to go along with the stat day. I have no idea what I'll do, but I figure just getting out walking or maybe taking time to read a book will improve my mood somewhat. What I need right now, though, is to accomplish something. I need to feel like I've gotten something done. Work, with the perpetual and useless meetings, isn't helping there. I'm a bit short on ideas for extra-curricular accomplishments. Video games are a sugary accomplishment substitute—a quick hit, but no actual substance. I should really give myself a project. I'll have to give that some thought over the next few days.
