good to be back in 1600x1200
Well, I'm back. When I took the two extra days off Monday and Tuesday to basically do nothing in Belleville, my parents failed to mention that they were having people in to replace the doors and living room windows. I probably would have gone, er, someplace else... if I'd known. I guess. No, I probably wouldn't have.

Anyway, it was a nice trip home. I liked the wedding, and it was a great day for it. The reception started off okay—nice dinner, speeches, my relatives were actually kinda fun. The dance wasn't great, though. Somebody should tell DJs that people like to socialize at these things. You know, talk. Even my uncle—a construction worker— was wincing. It was louder than anything on the job site, he said. We left early.
Sunday we went to the brunch part of the present opening thing. We left early because my sister had to be back in Kingston. We took her back, and later I took my parents out for supper for Father's Day. It was all nice. My mom commented that there wasn't a whole lot of co-mingling between families at the brunch thing.
I was a bit surprised that I actually like TechTV. I was watching it while doing laundry. My parents got a hundred or so new channels. Too bad they only come in sometimes. I bought a bunch of stuff. I've been trying to find the GTA:VC soundtrack box set, but it seems like it doesn't exist anymore. I should have bought it when I saw it. But I did find Crispin's Moving Toyshop, which turned out to be in print after all. I didn't even get a chance to check used bookstores. ( here's why I was looking for it).
