Darcy Casselman's weblog. Just like old times.

bored bored bored

I'm bored. So I'll write a journal-thingy entry.

Yesterday was a corporate-sponsored anime show, which was kinda fun, moreso for the people than the anime. Geneshaft was pretty stupid. That was a disappointment, 'cuz I saw the first episode untranslated at... somebody's house... years ago. I came away with the impression that it was mildly cool. Just goes to show that some things are just better when you don't know what the hell is going on.

I've finished both the Golden Sun games for the GBA (I started the first months ago—it was the second game I got. I got stuck near the end and only got out by reading a walkthrough and realizing that I hadn't picked up a key item a few towns back). The new Golden Sun is, in part, more of the same, but in other parts considerably cooler.

Those games had kept me pre-occupied the last couple weeks. Not having them has left a void in my life that needs filling. Yes, I realize how unbelievably pathetic that last sentence is.

I tried to pick up a new game at Future Shop last night, but nothing obviously jumped up off the shelf at me and I was eventually driven out of the building by a car audio demonstration.

I think I'll go down to the Electronics Boutique by Sportsworld, trade in some stuff and see if I have better luck there. .hack://MUTATION is out and, as much as I like the story, I don't think I'm interested in more of the brainless dungeon hack stuff. We'll see, I guess.
