the flying squirrel

Darcy Casselman's weblog. Just like old times.

too damn hot

It's rather warm outside. I don't want to leave work. That's not to say I'm a hard-working, obsessive, perfectionist workaholic or anything. I just like the air conditioning. And the free drinks. And high-speed Internet.

No!!! the Jar is going away. Why do the good ones always die young? I hope the beatniks make it into their future projects. I like the beatniks.

I went back to Belleville for the weekend. That was... less fun that it could have been. My mother has added a new wrinkle to the thing with my sister (just as I was coming to terms, really). *sigh*. This just isn't fun.

The drive home was more fun. Traffic was bad in some spots, and those were the spots I got off the highway. I managed to catch air going over a not-so-level level crossing. (Woo!) I think I lost some of my change for parking. I'll have to dig under the seats.

Canada Day was also fun, depite the ungodly heat. Maybe I should have a chat with the landlord about the no airconditioner rule. Then again, if I did that, he'd probably have a chat about the utilities included rule. Can't win, really.
