As of today, I am unemployed. [Miovision]( is a great company, and I wish them all the luck in the world. But the economy is kind of crappy and small companies need to be able to change direction quickly. No hard feelings.

I’m still reeling a bit from the news. Not exactly how I expected to start my week. I’ve already got some things to follow up on, though, and I guess I’ll need to update the [[resume]].

Job searching is pretty far from my favourite thing in the world, but I’m feeling pretty positive this time. Wish me luck.

  1. Hey!

Sorry to hear about the lousy start to the week.

I’m sure you’ll be back in the game in no time.

Distance and lack of any significant influence leave me unlikely to be able to offer anything more than best wishes, but I’ll keep an ear open and let me know if you need anything.

Best of luck, and keep your spirits up!

  2. Sorry to hear about the joblessness again. But once again, you do have the mad skills to land a new job in no time.
If you need anything, or if there’s anything I can do for you, let me know :)

  3. Well, that’s ONE way of keeping your commute “green”–to not commute at all!

I was just looking for an article I read lately about companies that formed during recessions (including Microsoft, IBM & Symantec, if I recall correctly), and was going to suggest you think about whether you should try a similar stunt yourself. You DO have a healthy dose of Cardinal in your chart, y’know…

    Instead, I found this article:;_ylt=AtjcBUKR5cIdZiygMfiyEkaCfNdF

Good luck, Squirrel, and may the Fates be herding you to a beautiful new path :) (And honestly, with the co-workers I currently have? I’m tempted to envy you your position–because I’m much too security oriented to leave, no matter HOW crazy they drive me! Why don’t the Fates push ME a little harder??? Oh, right–because I fall apart easily. Nevermind…).

Oh, and here’s another wish for some truly fine chocolate to come your way to nourish your soul on your journey. :D

  4. Thanks for the support and tips. :D

Tink, part of me would really like to start my own company. I am by no means a fast-talkin’ businessy sort of person, though. Not in the least. I kinda need one of those if I wanted to do anything even somewhat big.

I’m going to start working on some projects I’ve had kicking around in my head once I’ve got the whole job search rolling. Some of them might be marketable. We’ll see. I’ll probably even post about them.
